Gublad (guː blɑːd')
Symbols:
.Hammer and anvil on a balanced scale, standing bear with a maul and balanced scalePhysical Form Appearance:
.Easily over 6' tall, with very fair complexion, bright blond hair and sky blue eyes. Very muscular in appearance. She does not hide her gender and when at court, she dresses to accentuate her physique, but will easily wear metal and leather when it is called for. She has numerous scars that run from the back of her neck to her ankles.Personality/Demeanor:
Very slow to anger but once her ire has been raised very little gets in her way. Generally soft spoken and jovial, she loves to play 'strength' pranks but will never to the point of causing harm. Using her divine power she can have an object seem to weigh an astronomical amount by sapping the strength of the poor person who's at the butt of the joke.History/Ascension:
.Possibly the last of her clan, she was sold into slavery and eventually fought and bought her freedom. The exact place of her birth is unknown and all that is known is that she was born in the northern expanses. Legend has it that she was born on the 'day of the highest sun'. Her clan was ravaged by slave traders. Growing up in harsh conditions, she was already accustomed to hardship. Seeing she was hardier than the rest of the captured slaves, she was thrown into the pits for amusement, over time she became a star attraction. Her fame was spread far and wide by her slave master if for no more than to increase the coin in his purse. Over time this fame caught the ear of Dágelin and her curiosity was peaked. She watched numerous matches with Gublad and was amazed at her strength, not just of body but of spirit. Even when it appeared that she would lose the match there would be some power that would keep Gublad fighting, and this more often than any other time would be the deciding factor of winning. As time moved forward, Gublad had been pitted in over 300 matches and had won every match, by this time her slave master had amassed an incredible fortune off of the scarred back of Gublad. All Gublad had to show for it was the scars and memories of the death she had brought down on her adversaries. Dágelin decided that this woman would be her right hand and be the example of what it means to have strength, not just of body but of mind. Dágelin went to the slave master and offered to buy her freedom, but he would have no part of it, as the story goes his response was “she still has a lot gold left in her”. So Dágelin made another offer to the slave master, if she could best Gublad in the arena then Gublad would be free if Gublad was to best her, she would leave and make no further offers and leave Gublad to her fate. Gublad’s slave master not wanting to waste a “golden” opportunity, spread the word far and wide, not knowing who Dágelin was, thinking she wouldn’t last no more than a few exchanges at best. It has been decided the match would be held in just one day and that the combatants would be chained together until the match. During that time, Dágelin revealed who she truly was to Gublad, and immediately Gublad fell to the ground beseeching mercy from Dágelin. There was none to be given. “You must fight as if your life depended on it, and you must fight will all the strength of every match you’ve won”, stated Dágelin. “If you fight with anything less I will kill you the moment we step into the arena. However, if you fight with all of your being, I promise you your freedom and that you will be by my side for the rest of your days.” How can I defeat a god, begged Gublad. You’re not fighting a god, you’re fighting for your guaranteed freedom and the opportunity to become something so much more than who and what you are. This was all that she needed to strengthen her heart for the trial that lay ahead because all she saw otherwise was a dismal death in the middle of an arena being dragged off and thrown on a pit and forgotten. Some say that they fought for a full day, some say that they fought for days, no one knows for sure, and like all stories, it has been assuredly embellished over time. Regardless of who tells the story, the outcome is the same, Gublad gave all she had and all she had ever been in that fight and is now spreading the word of Dágelin and showing what it means to have strength of body and mind. She has really started to develop a following of those that are devoting themselves to her ideals and eventually, she may very likely be a full-fledged deity in her own right.Divine Powers:
Gublad's Gift – Able to bestow racial maximum strength or completely remove strength to the physical minimum. (this however cannot go below 1) Gublad's Will – Gives a person protection against all illusions and mind altering spells and only sustain ½ damage from non-primal primary elemental damage (Fire, Earth, Air, Water), this is done through the application of pure force of will. And is immune to all life-draining / paralysis from the undead. Gublad's Hammer – Gives a person the ability to focus all of their strength into a single double-fisted pound. The amount of power that is generated is determined by the strength person delivering the blow, it is the number of d10's of the strength of the wielder (e.g. 15 strength will be 15d10) 18/01-18/00 strength is treated as 18d10+5. If this is bestowed upon a person this can only be used once per week, as it takes that long to recover from its use, if used by the deity, it can be used once every turn. Gublad's Steel – This provides the recipient to take no damage from a single blow or strike from any non-primal weapon or strike but the recipient must remain motionless with eyes closed for a full turn. (weapons with a damage modifier only do the modifier damage, e.g. +2 long sword will only do 2hp of damage). Elemental weapons will only half ½ damage even with a modifier. There is a percentage based on the recipient's strength that the weapon will break (e.g. 16 Strength = 16% chance the weapon will break regardless of weapon type, modified weapons reduce the chance by their modifier. Example: Junique is a devoted follower of Gublad, he has a 17 strength, and he sees a rider wielding a halberd, just so happens this halberd has a +2 damage modifier. Junique steels himself for the blow, calling to Gublad for strength. If Gublad answers his prayer there is a 15% chance that the rider's halberd will shatter upon striking Junique and it will regardless only do 2hp of damage, if the halberd did not have a modifier it would a 17% chance and it would cause no damage) Priests:Sphere(s) (M=major / m = minor)

Notes & Remarks:
To go past level 5, one must pass the Strength of Body test. This involves rolling and/or carrying a stone that is between 95%-110% of their weight allowance between 3 and 5 miles. They may rest for no more than 5 mins at a time but it must be done in the same day. To go past level 10, one must pass the Strength of Mind test. This requires the priest to spend between 5 and 8 days in each of the four primary elements (Fire, Earth, Air, Water). Air = Atop the highest snow-capped peak
Fire = On or near a volcano's base
Earth = In an underground cavern
Water = Deserted island not in mainland.
Couples wishing to get married must carry a log or stone together that weighs one and a half to two times their combined weight allowance and make 3 circuits around the temple, then they must carry it while chained and shackled together to their home. There they must break the chain within a full day, if it's broken during the consummation of the union it is considered a great omen for them and their children. If they do not break it with the full day it is considered a bad omen. There are two main factions of this faith:
1. Those who believe in natural strength and strength-building
2. Those who believe in increasing strength through any means available (e.g. magic, potions, artifacts, etc)
