Dágelin (deɪʒ' ə lɪn)

Symbols: Crossed battleaxes on a blue to green shield, Sword & skull on a balanced scale, Black axe & scythe on a brown earth-colored shield   Physical Form Appearance:

She can take on any appearance she so chooses, but there have been three consistant visages that has been known to appear in. The first is one of an imposing woman wearing a chain mail shirt for armor and carrying a double headed battle axe. Her silver-white hair tied in tight braids, the look of raw determination on her face and her bright blue eyes constantly moving, scanning, constantly assessing the environment.

The second is one of an elderly woman carrying worn double headed battle axe, the eyes the same as her younger appearance. This visage is the one that if it is seen on the battlefield, her soldiers will give her wide berth but will fight with renewed fervor. This incarnation of the Goddess of War, is believed by her followers as the most devasting and most feared on the battlefield as this woman appears to be exceedlingly elderly woman wearing heavily worn leather armor, carrying an apparently old battleaxe.

Dágelin's third countenance is as the Goddess of Death, bright red eyes, skeletal face, black hair flying in the slightest breeze, alabaster white skin carrying a double headed axe and shield, wearing an open face helmet made of iron.

Personality/Demeanor: Soldiers of any army will see her as one of their own regardless of their rank or position, she will always have perfect military bearing and will only reveal her true identity when she chooses to. She never seems to smile but it's been said that she's been known to smile on the battlefield and when she does, one should fear for all things that stand in front of her. Dágelin, rarely if ever truly picks a side in a battle but is there to see that those who are fighting are fighting with all their heart and might.  This would mean that if she is ever 'seen' on the battlefield, either side or both will swear she is there for them.   History/Ascension: Hand-picked by Aria after not only holding her own in 1:1 combat but also for her complete devotion to Aria .   Divine Powers:
  • Tactics – This allows her to immediately know the strengths and weaknesses of any battlefield maneuver or tactic, this includes subversive tactics (feints, misdirection, etc)
  • Redirect soul – This allows the deity to transfer the soul of an immediately deceased person to the body of another immediately deceased person who has died in combat.
  • Warriors Fire – The grants the ability to give 10d100 people a killing rage just before a battle. This affects the mob/legion/army for as long as she is present on the battlefield.
  • Cause of Death – This works with a body found on a battlefield, she has the ability to see the battle through the eyes of the fallen, the higher the rank of the fallen, the more information that can be gathered.
  • Wield Any Weapon – This allows her to wield any weapon of war with legendary skill and proficiency.
  Priests:
  • Right of advancement past level 15 requires that 2 priests; one that wishes to advance and the other, of the challenger’s choosing that must be of higher rank, they ask for a single volunteer from the acolytes to fight to the death and then be resurrected one time as undead and fight until only one is left standing, whether that be the undead or the living. If the challenger’s acolyte survives, then the priest is allowed to advance to the next highest rank (one level up) and the losing priest must relinquish their status(goes one level down). This is the only time that necromancy is used directly by a priest/paladin of Dàgelin

    War and Death

    Artifacts

Named Zehdunis by Dàgelin, this was her first weapon, a double-headed axe. When she swings it openly even if not to hit someone or something, all humanoid creatures must make a saving throw versus fear as if cast by a Level 25 wizard as if they were four levels lower than they actually are, level one being the lowest possible save.   It usually will do 2d6+10 + 60% chance of being knocked back 6d10 feet.   Her primary weapon is her double-headed axe however, the location of Zehdunis is unknown at this time.

    Tenets of Faith

If you don't have a sword use a club
If you don't have a club use a rock
If you don't have a rock, use a stick
If you don't have a stick use your hands and feet
If you can't use your hands or feet, use your teeth
    You may still die
But make sure you give them a scar to remember you by.
