History
The Chicago BOS got relatively comfortable, despite being shot down into the city. They were able to beat back a good chunk of the Super Mutants in the area, and severely weaken the Chicago Enclave. Just before the BOS squashed the Enclave, they made an offer: have your scientists and soldiers come join us, or we will personally deal with you. The Enclave agreed to these terms. However, The Chicago BOS knew the other chapters would not like this arrangement, and so they cut contact with the other chapters in 2254. The BOS has been rapidly expanding since, and now controls all of the upper Illinios area and most of Northeastern Missouri, including St. Louis (as of 2277).
