Ërtúfën Family

The Ërtúfën, or Errtuphain Family was the 10th Family to leave the Ïlýrhonid tribe, which it did in 23291 AYM alongside its ally the Nüvodüno Family following their defeat in the Elironidian Civil War of 23293 to 23291 AYM. Upon leaving, the Ërtúfën family merged with the Nüvodüno family to create the tribe of Naburat, which settled on the southeastern coast of Bluzaquin. These two families are the next to last families to leave, with only the Ïlamatril and Ïntiyóða families left.

History

The Ërtúfën family occupied a section of the Ïlýrhonid Tribe's land that was bordered by the Nüvodüno Family to the south and the Farïnýð Family to the north/east. Being quite close to the land of the Ýlëntuk Family, the Ërtúfën Family's land is made of heavily jagged and uneven rock, especially towards the northern edges of the territory.

Like the Bašurhúd Family, the Ërtúfën Family placed great emphasis on the present and largely sidelined the role of ancestors and legendary figures. The Family's naming system was very much based on the interpretation of the residual liquids and debris left over during the Ýyorhïsïb, or birth, process. This process happens external of the organism and in designated cylindrical holes in the ground. Due to the jagged geology of the territory, these holes distribute the residue unevenly, although the actual birth process is mostly unaffected by this. Due to erosion, chemical reactions, and environmental factors, these residues can rearrange themselves in a number of different ways, which can be interpreted as being a glyph based on traditional Ërtúfën scripts.
