Scarletta Aristocracy

The kingdom of Scarletta is unique among human lands in calling itself a kingdom. Despite lands of significantly larger holding being held under the title of a Duchy, only the royalty in Knapsworth have yet declared themselves a Kingdom.   This is a recent change, as, after coming to power in a coup d'état some 18 years ago, King Emerelis Virgil II declared himself king over the former Duchy, citing direct descent from Aurobeil Virgil, the founding general of the city of Malford. It was at this time he renamed the holdings from simply Knapsworth to Scarletta.   At his side is Queen Consort Claudia Virgil, Crown Prince Emerelis Virgil III, Prince Ishmael Virgil, and Princess Lilia Virgil   The monarchy's seat of power is within the capital of Knapsworth, at the Rose Palace.   Other important figures within the aristocracy include:   Crown Chancellor Argus Delphine, chief advisor to the king.   Countess Marshal Veronica Fitch, in charge of the King's stable, movement, and personal logistics.   Lord Protector Boreal Ellisaria, responsible for the personal protection of the king and royal family.   High Magician Eludian De Amius Marcel, highest advisor on magical affairs, leader of the Scarletta Guild of Spellcasters, and one of the only legally authorized magic users in the kingdom.   Lord General Ioan Lawry, second in command (After King Emerelis himself) of the King's armies.   Lady Chamberlain Elestraid Mallory, in charge of handling the personal affairs of the king's household.   Royal Secretary Jerimiah Mallory, responsible for managing communications on behalf of the king.   Grandfather Leumuth Van Sielk, highest religious leader within Scarletta.   Chief Almsman Gregori Pawlth, in charge of hearing the needs of the peasantry, assessing them, and distributing capital according to those needs.   Duke Sigmund Rawls, a minor duke, holding lands to the North West of Knapsworth, nearly outside the political control of Scarletta, but a long time personal friend of the King. (Rewrite to make this part secret?)   Duchess Beatrice Mallory, Matriarch of the House of Mallory,holder of the lands closest to BlackGarde, responsible for much of the agricultural output of the region.   Earl Sigmund Pawlth of the reaches, holder of the lands closest to Knarl Igg   Lord Mayor of Knapsworth Yorland Folk, responsible for day to day management of the city.
