The Firestarters

The Firestarters is the name given to the six individuals who stopped Jayllin Tano during the events of Jayllin's Terror by chasing down her shadowy conspiracy and eventually arresting her and bringing her to stand trial.   Despite being hailed as heroes now, they were actually about to be put on trial for various crimes during the Embrel Peace Conference, but their capture of Jayllin exonerated them and revealed how much of the continents woes in 1009 were linked to the ex-Wayfarer.   The Firestarters members were:
  • Arthu (Artie) Naji, a Changeling Technomancer and adopted son of Faisal Naji.
  • Aspen Terracost, a Human Shaman of whom little is known.
  • Davimir Copperkettle, a locally famous Halfling Rogue from Hoban, near Ibrim, who vanished after the events of Jayllin's Terror.
  • Gautiero Dell-Orso, a Tiefling Paladin of Tharrisian origin.
  • Rhohkul Lazulin, a Dragonborn warrior from clan Rhokul in Dracon, now a Union Senator.
  • Vassia Glaratos, an Olark Mage of renown who was thought dead for centuries.
Some have declared The Firestarters as a sign that a new "Age of Heroes" is upon the continent, while others have decried the group for its extra-judicial work against the former Wayfarer. By and large though, the Firestarters enjoy a positive reputation from their stopping of Jayllin, and general push for transparency and peace across the continent in the aftermath. Their name seems to originate from their arrest warrant, or some other government document, but has become stuck due to how they started the "Fire" of more peace and transparency.    Beyond stopping Jayllin, the Firestarters are also, reportedly, responsible for stopping the battle between the Union and Tharrisian leaders during the Fall of Embrel from spiraling into a full scale war.

Disbandment

In the aftermath of Jayllin's conviction, the group seems to have gone their separate ways, though many seem to stay in contact.
  • Rhokul Lazulin has become Senator Rhokul Lazulin, representing Dracon in the Union Senate. He was also instrumental in revealing the CAD-ULTRA Conspiracy within the Union government and helping prosecute its members.
  • Artie and Vassia currently reside in the "Workshop That Walks", a magical and technomantic marvel of a structure that wanders the continent.
  • Gautiero seems to wander, pursuing some agenda of his own, reappearing seemingly randomly.
  • Aspen seems to have vanished back into the forests from whence they came. Rumors say they are connected to a Druids Circle, but the truth is unknown.
  • Davimir has vanished entirely from the public, along with most of his family.
