Chapter Two - Sessions 10 and 11
General Summary
GM Note: This session report encompasses two sessions, due to the theme of the sessions involving the exploration of Mineralis' dungeon. This helps to prevent and major confusion regarding events.
The party finds themselves within the Pocket Dimensional Prison that Mineralis is trapped within beneath the Scrap Heap; a veritable warehouse of objects. They must work together to uncover the path that will allow the trapped God to leave, locating a series of keys to unlock the exit door. A cryptic clue, malignant mimics, a sentient storybook, and peculiar puzzles stand in the party's way as they make their way through the warehouse. However, when it's revealed that the 'keys' are Mineralis' precious objects and the 'lock' involves destroying them in a furnace, the God shows hesitance in giving up their precious things simply to leave. Luckily, the party uses the value of their words and experiences to help Mineralis' overcome their fears and attachments.

Mineralis
Goddex of all things Valuable, Mineralis revealed themselves as a friendly and optimistic sort with a deep appreciation for....well just about everything. The party learned that, while others may fear being forgotten, Mineralis fears forgetting: leading to their hoarding tendencies.Notes
Bastion Progress
Bastion progress remains unchanged at 4/7 days.Notable Moments
- Mineralis shows their true form
- Fio's clear and true connection to Mineralis is felt really strongly during this whole encounter. A line akin to "your presence out there is more important than anything in here" really hit home to me as the DM.
- It's also worth noting here that Fio managed to defeat the antagonistic sentient book by making it illiterate with Feeble Mind which is so funny.
- In true follower of Alcara fashion, Dwell deals out some harsh truths to Mineralis and helps them to understand that letting go allows us to move forward and make new memories. I was actually very caught off-guard at Dwell's action to read the long-sealed love letter and then to present it to Mineralis to read as well. This act was really transformative and helped to highlight Mineralis' blind-spot in their core philosophy.
- Truly respectful: Ryshard asks Mineralis to share stories and details of the items to be destroyed. This helped ease some of Mineralis' discomfort: as it meant that the memory of the objects would be preserved, if only for a little while.
Quotes
"It sniffed my Genius"- Ryshard, on a Mimic beating an Int save from Fio
"Fio, slap me as hard as you can. I will not flinch." "Maybe we should be in front of a door first?" "Oh yeah..."- Ryshard and Fio attempting to open one of the Warehouse doors.
The need to put value in things...there comes a time where that value simply vanishes. While we might be losing any value these things we've gathered had, the value of you being out in the world is more important.- Fio
"I would argue that letters have more value to those receiving them."- Dwell
