Talsiria
Structure
Talsiria's ruling force is the Court of Magisters. They serve as lawmakers, arbiters, and judges when necessary, but most day-to-day decisions are left to a council of bureaucrats and clerks, allowing the Magisters to freely pursue their magical studies.
These bureaucrats are called "Mage" if they are arcane practitioners and "Councillor" if not. Divine and natural casters are not permitted to hold office in Talsiria.
Culture
Talsiria as a nation prides magical study, sustainable growth, and horses. Learned, arcane magic is the epitome of mortal achievement, where divine and natural magic are viewed as little more than foraging resources that already exist.
Education is the highest virtue in Talsiria, and any Talsirian will boast about their literacy rate and theatre circuits raditions, the latter a natural evolution of Fey oral traditions.
Public Agenda
In all they do, Talsiria aims to bring the majesty of the Feywild to the Prime Material and extend the limits of arcane power.
History
Talsiria is the oldest elven nation in Namidee. Popular legend claims that what is now Myth'Talsiria was the site of the Exodus, where the Eladrin of the Feywild first came to the Prime Material Plane after Lolth led her rebellion over 1,000 years ago.
However they came to the place, the still-fey creatures, unaccustomed to the physical limits of this new plane, discovered the wild horses of Odrainga and mobility they brought. Their practical use and resemblance to the unicorn god Lurue, the horse has been the most prized animal in Talsiria since its inception.
Demography and Population
Talsiria began as an exclusively elven nation. As time passed and planar energies gave rise to the plethora of mortal races known today, humans, tabaxi, orcs, and halflings gravitated toward the forward-thinking cities and sustainable villages. Today, virtually every known ancestry can be found somewhere on the Expanse.
Military
Talsiria is unique in that, as a formal nation, it does not field a standing army. It has yet to be invaded or attacked and believes its arcane prowess equal to repelling any future forces that seek to do so.
Religion
There are no restrictions on worship in Talsiria; worship and devotion are viewed as lesser pursuits, that the gods are best served by practical action.
However, the Béé Hózin is the pantheon most commonly recognized across the Expanse.
Like most farming communities, Siro is a household name in the agrarian regions of Talsiria.
Foreign Relations
Talsiria maintains contact with its elven sister-nations across Namidee. It is on good terms with the remaining dwarven and draconic lands around the world. Within Odrainga, tensions are high with Sayong, though the two countries have never come to outright hostility. That is likely to change the further south Talsiria expands.
Agriculture & Industry
Talsiria is an agricultural giant. Its grassland farms feed the entire Talsirian Expanse with enough left over to export. The size of the region and nomadic traditions of early elven explorers have led to sustainable forestry and hunting industries, though those are notably less prolific than the agriculture.
Most important, however, are Talsirian horses. Since the first fey set foot on Odrainga's shores, horses have been a part of Talsiria. Over the centuries, the nation has bred and developed them and now provides horses for every conceivable need. They are best known for their khalari, horses bred in magical conditions. It is said khalari are intelligent enough to speak but wise enough not to.
Trade & Transport
Horses, grains, produce, textiles, literature, and enchantments comprise the bulk of Talsirian exports, while timber, masonry, and ore are most commonly imported.
Within the country, the Malle'Irellune and its "tributaries" transport goods and services. Talsiria relies largely on its ports for international shipping, but keeps the traffic spread so that no one port grows too large for the environment to support.
When necessary, goods are shipped through or under the Liavir Mountains from Ilfelath.
Education
Every child in the Expanse attends school from ages 6 to 15. Where a settlement or homestead cannot provide their own instructors, the children are either boarded for free at a nearby village, or Myth'Talsiria provides one if the need is great enough.
Whether in academia or trade, formal education is an inherent part of the Talsirian culture. Masters have journeyfolk and apprentices, andpand have proteges and pupils. If a Talsirian wants to study it, it is taught.
Infrastructure
The Malle'Irellune leads from Myth'Talsiria to Vanas. It is well-kept and regularly maintain. Hundreds of offshoots extend its reach across the expanse, though their upkeep is subject to the local Magisters or Council.
