Megazard ('meg-ah-zerd')
These fearsome flying beasts have been raining fire down upon villages and towns for generations. Their name actually comes from the word, 'hazard'. In fact daring to try to take on a Megazard is hazardous or even suicidal. But some cultures, particularly in Atlantea, have taken to it as a rite of passage. For some taking on a Megazard and defeating it is like some sort of maturity test. However the practice has been outlawed in recent years, for the sheer number of teenage kids that have ended up dead as a result of this. They are dragons, after all. While not quite on the level of a Dragon Lord, they are still beasts to be reckoned with.
Basic Information

Growth Rate & Stages
Megazard is the Evo'ed form of Dragron, now with fully developed wings and taking to the sky. They Evo further into Gigazard later on in their life.
Ecology and Habitats
Megazard mostly live in mountainous regions. If you find a lot of Dragrons in an area, it's usually a tell-tale sign that there is a Megazard in the area.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Megazard are carnivorous beasts. They will prey on any medium sized prey they can find, from people to Bitaurs. It is thought this is precisely why Bitaurs have such long horns in the first place, to defend themselves from Megazards.
Biological Cycle
Megazard, and Gigazard after it are known to mother massive hordes of Dragrons. They will also migrate with the seasons. When the weather grows cold, they will migrate to warmer climes.
Behaviour
They are highly aggressive and dangerous, and will attack at even the slightest provocation. They are also highly territorial creatures. If you find a lot of Dragrons in an area, it is usually a tell-tale sign that there is a Megazard or Gigazard in the area and you should tread lightly.
From the notes of Doctor Ivan Sanderson.
"I have learned much in my travels. But one thing I take to heart is that one should not tread on Megazard territory. I think perhaps these beasts are a reminder that one should respect the awesome power of the Mystimon kingdom and of nature itself. It will not think twice about reminding you of this fact."
