Kingdom of Therassia
Therassia, realm of the High Queen.
An ancient monarchy headed by the High Queen of House Findael. The first kingdom to be formed after the Scarring. A traditional absolute monarchy often in conflict with the newer and aggressive expanionist The Empire of Mori.

The kingdom spans the islands of the continent of Therassia. Also known as The Scattered Islands and it's seat of power is the capital city of Theras. Built on the island formed around the great vulcano Dresnor.
Primarily a sea-faring people they're renowned for their use of sleek, fast and manoeuvrable enchanted vessels. They can be seen as either magically armed warships patrolling the borders of the Kingdom or as the bulkier trading ships that frequent harbors all over the world.
Politics
An absolute monarchy with a feudal society, recently Ealfasia Findael II has ascended to the throne upon the death of her father Ealfas Findael. She inherits the throne at the relatively young age of 24 in times of troubles.
The Court of Nobility is a great influence in the kingdom. They're made up from minor baron to the princes of the realm. Usually a member of the nobility is granted one of the many islands of the Therassia and will supply the navy with ships and men to serve it.
It is populated with a fair number of Elfs and has a large population of Half-Elven and Elf variant humans. The royal house of Findael is made up of half Elfs and traditionally the noble children will foster with the Elven communities of the realm and choose a mate from amongst them.
In recent years the kingdom has come into conflict with the Empire to the East and are having a dispute on the ownership of the eastern islands of the continent. Imperial forces have occupied some of the islands and some small border skirmishes with Therassian nobility has occurred. However, the High Queen and the Emperor have expressed not to be interested in war and are in the diplomatic communication.
They have always been at war with the Northen Clans because of their hatred of magic. Especially the Eastern clans regularly invade the islands in the north of the kingdom.
Important cities and locations
These cities represent the splendour of the Kingdom, each contributing uniquely to the strength and stability of the crown and the council of barons.
Theras City ("The Ancient Capital and Seat of the House of Findael")- Location: Theras Island on it's west coast.
- Description: Magnificent spires, palaces and ornate Elven houses cover the western coast of the island of Theras. Built against the slope of the volcano protected by lava canals and break walls. The heart of the Kingdom can be found here in the royal palace, the council hall of the barons and the administrative buildings of the army. On the shores many traditional Elven dockyards, warehouses and wharves can be found of this maritime nation.
- Key Features: Magnificent buildings dot the dark landscape as the Elves conquered this vulcanic island. Sprawling Docks and shipyards can be found on the shores as well as a massive mage tower in the bay.
- Cultural Significance: Political, religious, and administrative capital of the Kingdom.
- Location: Southern islands, near the disputed territories with The Empire of Mori.
- Description: A thriving port city built around crystalline lagoons and dense mangroves. Known for its vibrant markets and shipyards, Selvardis is also a cultural melting pot where Elves, Half-Elves, humans, and many other races coexist. The city’s defensive fleet is vital in guarding Therassia’s southern border with the Empire of Mori.
- Cultural Significance: The city is a key trading hub and a symbol of resilience against imperial expansion. Its artisans are famed for Crafting enchanted jewelry and weapons.
- Location: A fortified city on the northernmost island, close to The Northern Clans' territories.
- Description: Built atop steep cliffs, Almyras is a bastion of Therassia’s defenses. Its stone walls are enchanted to repel magic and siege weapons alike. The city’s harbor is small but heavily protected, serving as the base for patrols guarding against Northern Clan incursions. Every house in the city was designed to be integrated into the fortifications of the city.
- Cultural Significance: Known for its holy knights and ice magic specialists, Almyras embodies the kingdom’s determination to hold the line against invaders.
- Location: On the verdant island of Ythil, west of the capital.
- Description: A serene city nestled in lush forests, with a network of canals fed by freshwater springs. Vylindar is a center for religious study, home to the Archives of the Lost Gods, where clerics from across the kingdom gather to research and teach. The city’s architecture harmonizes with nature, with tree-bound spires and glowing crystal lanterns illuminating its pathways.
- Cultural Significance: A spiritual and intellectual hub, it plays a critical role in shaping Therassia’s magical and religious traditions and policies.
- Location: On the easternmost island, known for its calm, golden beaches.
- Description: A peaceful, picturesque port city that thrives on trade with eastern continent of Olmerrec and the Elven colony of Naenas. Its docks are renowned for their shipwrights, who construct Therassia’s finest vessels. Lathirian is also famed for its sacred temples and annual solstice festivals.
- Cultural Significance: A beacon of commerce and faith, it fosters relations with the Imperial merchant companies and even with some of the Northern Clan Drenner.
