Naenas
Nestled between the continents of Olmerrec and Elastar lies an enchanting Elven island colony, bathed in an unnatural warmth despite its proximity to the North. Once a perfect circle, the island's coastline has been gently eroded by time, leaving behind a rugged yet captivating shore. A small harbor graces the island, its lighthouse casting a magical glow that dances across the waves, guiding seafarers to safety. The island is a tapestry of cobbled roads and intricate buildings, with only a modest field and beach area near the harbor offering a glimpse of natural beauty.
The Wave Walls, an ancient marvel from the era of the Return, stand as a testament to the raw magic that once flowed freely through the world. These walls, with their flowing patterns and pearly white surface, are completely smooth, as if crafted by the hands of the gods themselves. Several towers have been built around the wall, and two grand gates serve as the sole entrances to the inner city from the harbor.
Dominating the city's center is the Faewynn Aerie, a majestic structure adorned with numerous platforms designed for the landing of flying beasts. Nearby, a small dragon roost nestles beside the Temple of the Elders, a place of reverence and wisdom.
The city is governed by a minor baron and his noble family, who reside in a small palace adorned with lush, green local plants. Situated on the blue mosaic square at the city's heart, the palace is the second-largest building, exuding an air of elegance and authority.
Outside the city walls lies a slave encampment, a stark contrast to the island's beauty. Constructed from rough tents and enclosed by rotting wooden walls, the camp houses inhabitants forced into menial labor and the unloading of ships. The Therassian guards rely on the island's natural barriers to prevent escape, though the walls of the camp remain in disrepair.
