The Wedding Crashers

Tertius receives a wedding invitation from his cousin on his mother's side, Lysandrea Isillionthe, which has a personal handwritten note added to it from Lysandrea giving a personal pleading for him to come. Tertius and the party head to the Silver Lodge, just outside of Argentis Falls, near Caer Cenwynn.   Upon arrival, the party finds Lysandrea is set to marry Maximillian D'arlington, and she seems worried about a supposed curse that affects the eldest men in the D'arlington family, wherein they die shortly after their wedding.   As the party began to mingle and investigate the stories of the curse, they discovered that Lysandrea's marriage was more about her trying to find an advantageous marriage to help support her family that had be cut out from her father's elven family, and marrying into nobility would give her elven grandfather a means of reaccepting them into the family without losing face.   The party also quickly discovered that Maximillian was a cad and did not seem to be willing to hold their vows with fidelity. The party attended the stag hunt and tea party planned for the day and at the dance during the evening, Maximillian was discovered dead--apparently fallen from the second floor of the Lodge from the back balcony where he snapped his neck.   Only a few people were aware of the death, and the party hid the body. They decided that it was best to investigate the death and possible murder without anyone suspecting anything. During this time, they discovered a number of people with motive.   Sirbastien D'arlington, Maximillian's younger brother, was in love with Lysandrea, and she returned the sentiment. However, the title which would help her family belonged to his older brother.   Thalgion Isillionthe, Lysandrea's elven cousin had feelings for her and offered to marry her to resolve the issues with their grandfather, but she turned him down.   They also discovered that there was a Moonwell on the property that led to The Feywild and the Court of Leaves and Whispers, and it was discovered that Maximillian did not have much regard for the property, and, legally, it would be part of his holdings after the wedding. This gave motive to a number of people associated with the Moonwell, including Roslinda Brynborn, the Halfling warlock of Stag King who was Lysandrea's lady's maid, as well as Wistari Enydark, who was the caretaker of the well.   It was also possible that it was an accident, either by chance or due to the family curse.   Maximillian was also a huge dick and not many people had a favorable opinion of him.   The party met an Emissary of the Stag King in the Feywild, who asked Bolvaic, "Care for an apple?" and when Bolvaic agreed, he gave him the apple and told him that he was to care for it by planting a seed from it and growing an apple tree.   As the party continued, there was an attack by joint forces of the Oleander Throne and the Blood Tribes, who were seeking to corrupt the Moonwell. Cornelius Peck, the soul trapped in Ilbryen's ring, tried to betray them to get the ring back into the possession of the Oleander Throne. The party held off the attackers and protected the Moonwell.   Ultimately, the party discovered that Thalgion Isillionthe killed Maximillian out of jealousy. Sirbastien challenged him to a duel, but before the duel could take place, guards arrived and Thalgion was placed under arrest for murder.   Saevel Isillothe conceded his position and offered acceptance of Lysandrea and her family. Sirbastien's love for Lysandrea was openly stated, and after Lysandrea mourned for a proper amount of time, they had agreed to wed.
