Elves

Distant descendants of the Feywild, elves are a magically touched people who live long lives which they spend in the pursuit of perfection. They are of slender build and are considered to be hauntingly beautiful by other races, with fair skin, long flowing hair and eyes of bright hues. Elves love nature and most sub species make their homes in ancient woodlands where they use their innate connection to the plane of life to bend nature to suit their needs, causing the trees to grow in the shapes of homes and towers which the elves can then live in. The faint touch of feywild magic that emanates from the elves suffuses their surroundings with ethereal energy, causing extraordinary phenomena in plant life; forest floor shrubs lit with dancing faerie lights, flowers which boast petals that swirl with intricate vivid patterns, and - in rare cases - causing trees to lift their roots and move around. A reclusive people, elves prefer to keep to their own forest realms, although they are welcoming to outsiders as long as they show the proper respect for the elven way. Elves are divided across the continent of Midasfjall into sub species which hail from different regions.
