A re-commissioned scouter ship from an Alta Riano trading fleet, the Madrigal is a small ship with a long lease on life - extended by its commissioning by the Royal Charter. A fast and sturdy vessel made for toughing out the worst the Cirrian Sea has to offer, it was chosen by Dame Prima Illia Myheimer for use in the Great Survey for its compact size, artisinal make, and the fact it was crafted from the wood of the Prismerese native Haluala Tree, giving it a natural pinkish-white finish to the wood. On the side of the hull, her name, "IPX MADRIGAL" - named after a small lyrical poem with tight harmonies - is burned into the wood rather than painted. It's unique appearance was a high priority for the Queen, insistent that the ship be seen as "the glowing speck of the future bobbing along the horizon".
