Aegaelion

Basic Information

Aegaelion is a high ranked employee of Lady Aenysiel . He is a tall High Elven man with a strong and fit build. His skin is on the paler side for a High Elf. He has shoulderlength wavy hair which is primarily black with a few white plucks. He wears a nice white shirt with a black waistcoat that has intricate details of spirals. His pants and shoes match this to give him an elegant and formal appearance. Along with his elegant clothes he noteably wears a silver necklace with a pendant of a dove and 2 signet rings, one on each hand. One ring is made of darksteel with a blood diamond and on his other hand a white gold ring with a citrine gem.  

Personality and Traits

Aegaelion carries himself as a calm and patient man. He doesn't feel the need to attract attention to himself. He likes to help people in need, which is sometimes to dismay of his guards. He is naturally shy, which shows in his dislike to interfere in personal problems or to interrupt people. When nervous he starts playing with the rings on his fingers. However, even though he is not inclined to socialize, he is pretty charming and knows his way with words. After he is done with duties, he prefers to enjoy a glass of whiskey on the rocks and sit by the fireplace and ponder while staring into the fire. On his days off he likes to learn new skills, preferably where he needs to make something by hand.  

Background and History

Not much is known yet of his past. Aerith knows he is a very good terms with Lady Aenysiel. This is shown in putting her trust in Aegaelion's ability to assist her in Illumé with finding Zharrus. The party, but mostly Aerith, has learned a few things about him:

Aegaelion is bethrothed to a woman. It was an arranged marriage, thought out by his parents. The woman in question was someone he barely knew, not from Illumé, not even from Arnotar. The match had been crafted for ambition, not affection, a partnership designed to build influence. He resented it and wasn’t sure if he would go through with it.

Lady Aenysiel has helped him out with a delicate issue. He was not ready to talk about it, which Aerith respected.

Notable Skills or Abilities

The party has not yet familiarised themselves with Aegaelion's skills and abilities. However they can assume the following:

• Knowledgeable about politics in Illume: As he was tasked by Lady Aenysiel to assist Aerith into navigate through the Luminous Concord, he must be knowledgeable about the matter.
• Charming: Politics in Illumé requires some charm. He is appearance and demeanor so far ellude to him probably capable enough to charm some other politicians.

 

Recent Events and Updates

The party has learned that Aegaelion had been sent to Illumé to accomplish three missions. One personal, one for Lady Aenysiel and to help the Order of Adamnt find Zharrus. It is unclear what the details are of the first two missions, but Aegaelion did manage to steal a book from House Varynthiel during the Wild Party that had left the family deeply upset.   After the big distraction of the Light Celenthir and the war against Demons and Warforged in Illumé's sanctuary Meliana Quoronriel had declared Aegaelion and Cole's dead as she had seen their bodies herself. The bodies had been faked by Cole and both of them were alive. Aegaelion met with Aerith on the rooftop of the Celebren mansion where he explained all that had transpired. He had summoned the demons that bought him time to collect the Light Celenthir for himself. He was going to use the Light Celenthir to set his father free. Revealing that his father is Vel'Gon, The Shadow Beast of Endless Night himself, which would naturally make Lady Aenysiel his mother. Aegaelion is planning on restoring balance to the world by bringing all the gods back into this realm, cleanse the world and banish them afterwards. Including his own father.    On the rooftop was also revealed that Aegaelion had been betrothed to Aerith all along.
