The Troll Outreach Group

Near the end of the Era of Satisfaction, the Troll Outreach Group emerged. In their early stages, they started as an activist group, advocating for aid to be given to the trolls, a destitute people who had hardly been since the dawn of the age. As their popularity grew, troll outreach became the most contentious topic of debate in the politics of the jinn city of the Loom. This allowed the Troll Outreach Group to become a major political player, eventually dividing the Loom's government into just two factions: the Troll Outreach Group and the Anti-Troll League. Represented in the Anti-Troll League were most of the long-time powers in the city, including the entire leadership of the Crocheter's Guild.
The main subject of debate between the Troll Outreach Group and the Anti-Troll League was the worthiness of the trolls to be helped. The Troll Outreach Group claimed it was the jinn's moral responsibility to help a people who lived so much in squalor, as they had such comfortable lives, and could easily lend a hand to support those who were less fortunate. The Anti-Troll League cited for their beliefs the tale of Jinnine and Trollgu, wherein the trolls were created to live in darkness out of punishment for their evil ways.
Controversies over troll outreach only grew stronger as the Troll Outreach Group gained enough political power to start funding its outreach missions. Within a few years, the jinn were able to make contact with the trolls, and the Troll Outreach Group soon announced its goals to build a joint joint city where the two species could work and live together. The Woven Caves had enough political support to begin construction, but efforts from the Anti-Troll League to regain political power in the Loom eventually forced the Troll Outreach Group to withdraw their resources, leaving the Caves unfinished. The Woven Caves would never be completed, as the increased conflicts between the two factions would soon lead to the Jinn War, a war so brutal that it broke the world and remade it anew, leaving the Woven Caves a buried monument of the hope for a peace that was not to be.
