Mepovaris
Tread carefully around the lake, for this is one of the most biodiversity areas of Levis. With Zuma birds resting on the lake, and Derry mice in the 20m tall reeds around the edges. Hooked teeth Galahs on various shore bound eucalyptus, Luxwood and wattle. And Dreadnaught floating lazily above it all.
The lake is the centre of spirituality in the area, an area of winding Celestial Winds and deep ancient magic; it is a freshwater body, situated over a deep crack in the earth. It lies at the start of the Starfall River, feeding the tributary that runs past Vertus and towards Oceanus. The lake is spattered with dozens of small islands, which give rise to micro-habitats, which various species not seen outside of the lake take advantage of.

Geography
Set in what once could have been a volcanic caldera hundreds of thousands of years ago, the black rock that juts from the soil around the banks of the lake makes angry little hills, and weird nests for the ailbacks, birds and mammals that stay close to the shores of the massive lake.
The shores around the lake disperse into a lovely wetlands, with the area the most moist non-ocean location in the Levis region.
Localized Phenomena
The lake is large enough to have a Celestial Wind pooling somewhere on its surface, and desperate mages through time have brought or made a boat and just gotten lost on the lake for maddening amount of time until starvation or predators have taken them. Stupidity is lethal on the surface of the lake.

Thank you for reading, feel free to give feedback.

I neither live in or around a lake, although I'd love to. Regarding the feedback you are looking for: I always find it helpful to use the template prompts. In this case, ask yourself: Are there settlements around the lake? Can the lake safely be traversed for trade? Has it any economic impact, because something is being "harvested" here and the exported? Tourism! Is there any tourism? For example with my Moonshine Bay I have a natural phenomena that is causing a festival to happen, so there is tourism. Just a few points, that might help you :)
