House Milallis

House Milallis is a minor house from the heartland of the Kratiran Empire, a direct vassal of House Endrai . They are most noted for the significant size of the family; many would say that they have too many mouths to feed compared to the size of the income from their small holdings. As a result, many members of the family are engaged in work that is considered low class by their noble peers.

Structure

Like all Kratiran noble families, House Milallis is organised by blood relation. The family currently has a main branch and three cadet branches. The main branch resides at the family seat of Heliophrou, running the castle, village and farms there. The family's first and oldest cadet branch also resides within Heliophrou, serving as loyal castellans when the main branch travels and head of the household guard when this is not so. The second cadet branch of the family currently occupies the family residence in Artessos

Public Agenda

House Milallis is a strong supporter of the rule of House Endrai, although that support is of limited value given the house's minor status and relative poverty. Nevertheless, they take any opportunity to do favours and show their support to the imperial house. As such, they are officially declared members of The Hegemonists, although their influence in the faction is limited.

Assets

House Milallis has its main seat in a small castle that lies about 30 miles west of Artessos. The castle, called Heliophrou, and the village that surrounds it are the primary source of income for the house. Farms nearby provide food for the castle and the villagers while a nearby local pond is regularly panned for the gold flecks that seem to appear as if by magic in it. The family has paid for surveys by a Charter Sorcerer that indicate the presence of gold veins, but has never had the necessary wealth to properly mine these veins. In addition to Heliophrou, the family maintains a small residence in the north-east of the Katalumaron. This property was received as a gift from Myron Endrai as a reward for House Milallis' support during the succession crisis of 913NE.
