Exokkos

Exokkos is a continental sized landmass in the western part of the planet that straddles the planet's equator. From east to west, the continent is about 4,800 miles wide, while from north to south it is about 4,500 miles wide. It is generally divided into 3 regions: eastern, central and western with the division between regions being set at lines described by the continent's major mountain ranges.   Exokkos is the traditional ancestral land of the Thalassanos according to the teachings of the Cult of the Originist Way, and this idea seems to be borne out by the prevalence of population and also by the few fragmentary records that survived the Mage Wars.

Geography

The eastern part of the landmass is mainly grassland, with a great central steppe and a large desert in the uttermost west of the continent. There are 3 major mountain ranges on the continent as well as numerous forested areas in the grassland and steppe regions of the continent. There are also 2 inland seas in the eastern part of the continent.

Localized Phenomena

There are a number of seemingly miraculous localised effects that are generally attributed to the impact of ancient magic on the land. One of the more well known instances is the unnatural growth of the Psilodasos Forest in the Apeilibad. Most believe that the forest is under the effects of some sort of sorcery that causes the trees to mature faster and grow more swiftly. Repeated, in depth, studies by scholars and investigators from the The Charter Schools of Sorcery have found no evidence of such, but the growth of the trees is undeniable and so the legend persists.
