Skills
Proficiency for a skill determines your skill's proficiency bonus and what actions you case use it for.
- Untrained: no bonus, limited use, usable against DC 10 and under only
- Trained: no bonus
- Expert: +5 proficiency bonus
- Master: this proficiency rank requires you to be at least 8th level, +10 proficiency bonus
- Legendary: this proficiency rank requires you to be at least 15th level, +15 proficiency bonus
- The effects of each proficiency rank include those listed from lower ranks unless otherwise stated or overlapped.
A natural 20 is a critical success and adds 10 to the result.
A natural 1 is a critical failure and subtracts 10 from the result.
Synergy: Some skills have synergy with other skills. These skills gain a bonus depending on your proficiency rank with the synergy skill (+1 for trained, +3 for expert, +6 for master, +10 for legendary).
The skills listed here are those that have specific interactions with the rest of the game system. If you feel you have an interaction that does not fit any of these skills, you are encouraged to create one!
