Craft
You are skilled in crafting items. The skill does not represent training in crafting a particular type of item. Instead, the skill represents your ability to understand how items are made, how to figure out what tools and methods you need to craft them, and the discipline to do the work.
Trained
Craft Item
You can craft a standard-quality weapon, armor, shield, or tool. To start, you need the cost of the item to craft. Next, gather crafting materials with a value equal to at least 1/3 of the item's cost. Next, make your Craft check against DC 10. On a successful check, your result equals an amount of gp. To complete the item, you need to keep making Craft checks and add up their results until you reach or exceed the item's cost. Each check occupies you for 8 hours.
You can attempt to increase the gp progression per check by increasing the DC. You gain 1 additional gp of progression for each +1 you choose to add to the DC. You must make this choice before making your check.
Action: 1 downtime day per check.
Retry? Yes. On a failed check, you make no progress. For every 10 that you are under the DC, you ruin some of your crafting materials, and need to purchase additional material equal to 1/10 of the item's cost before you can continue crafting.

Salvage
You can salvage crafting materials from a weapon, armor, shield, or tool. The DC to salvage an item is based on its quality (see Table: Item Quality Salvage DCs). To salvage an item, make your Craft check, and multiply your result by 10 if you succeed. Keep making checks to salvage and add the results together. When the total equals or exceeds the gp value of the item, it has been fully salvaged. You gain an amount of crafting materials with a gp worth equal to 1/4 of the item's value. Each failed check reduces the amount of crafting materials gained by 1/10 of the item's original value. Once you start salvaging an item, it gains the broken condition. When your salvaging is finished, the item is destroyed.
Action: 1 downtime day per check.
Retry? No.
