Water Magic

Unlike most forms of magic, which require strength of self, for spellsters to utilise any form of liquid, they must seek an outside source. It is much like the manipulation of earth in this manner and, like the more solid element, any type of fluid will do, with the outcome altered by different viscosities. Water is merely the most common medium used.

Not only can magic direct the movement and form, but also the temperature. Funnelling heat into the liquid can cause it to boil, pulling heat from it causes ice.

However, where most non-spellster folk see ice as merely frozen water, the manipulation of the two states requires different abilities and a spellster isn’t always talented in both. Fluid water needs a knack that borders on telekinesis, whereas ice needs a firmer grasp akin to the powers required to harness the earth.
