Redwick Bus Route 1

Route 1 (Officially Redwick Bus Route 1) is the oldest bus route in the capital of Etorea. It runs from Wilmot to Custom House with stops at Little Glasgow, Newbury, Oldtown, Longport, Dingbeigh, Chinatown and Colyton.
The route was opened by the Redwick General Omnibus Company in 1846 to transport people between one of the only two then operating railway stations in the capital with several towns within the city limits. This was to increase the traffic to the Redwick & Knightsbury Railway of which the owner of the R&KR was a shareholder in the RGOC. The route initially used horse drawn double - deck omnibuses. Operations of this nature continued until the switch to petrol traction in the early 20th century.
Initial orders for petrol powered vehicles came in 1909 when the RGOC ordered ten Moorcroft C Type Motorbuses from the Moorcroft Company. They were sent up by rail, arriving in the goods platform at Redwick - Oldtown Station. By 1913, the entire route was serviced by motorbuses.
