NER J Class №95

North Eastern Railway №95 is a preserved example of the NER's J Class 0-8-0s, built as part of the 1903 batch of engines.

She was constucted as part of order number L17 in September 1903 along with classmates №s 92 - 94. She was initially allocated to Sandford Locomotive Shed running general goods workings along the Etorean North Coast Main Line. Just like several of her sister locomotives, she was requisitioned by the Railway Operating Division for use on the western front during World War One.
