NER J Class №92
North Etorean Railway №92 was one of the sixteen "North Etorean Railway H Class" 0-8-0 Tender Locomotives built as part of the 1903 batch of engines.
She was constucted as part of order number L17 in September 1903 along with classmates №s 93, 94 and 95. She was initially allocated to Sandford Locomotive Shed running general goods workings along the Etorean North Coast Main Line. During the winter of 1913 she suffered a minor derailment while pulling a mixed freight between Paignton and Chesterford. In 1916 she was requisitioned for war service on the Western Front, returning to Etorea after the armistice.
Upon formation of Etorean National Railways, she was given the number 40060, following on from №s 76, 77, 89 - 91 as they were all same enough to be considered the same class by the ENR officials. She was kept at 6F Newton Haven until 1935 when she was transfered to 4B Chapelswood to run parcels trains out of the capital. Her last overhaul was in 1937, just prior to the Second World War. It was during the war that 40060 was running heavy coal trains from the North of Etorea down to the south western port cities for shipment to the western front for use by the Railway Operating Division. By the conflict's end 40060 was completely warn out and was broken up to overhaul other H Class locomotives.
In 2016, her builders plate and NER number plate was sold as part of a railwayana collection for M1670. Her tender is also fitted on №40063, one of the two preserved H Class tender engines which is operational at the Parsley Line.
