June-y Through Time

Introduction

As a history nerd, I love using the timelines to help embolden my world, and am excited to see what others come up with. However, aside from some entries in the World Anvil Wordbuilding Awards, we don't see much attention given to the timelines. Therefore, many timelines get ignored or even forgotten about. Well, now's the time (pun intended) to change that. Introducing June-y Through Time!  

The Challenge

It's actually quite simple. From June 1st to June 30th, I just ask for no less than ten additions or revisions to your timeline. Create an article with the added or revised dates, and call out the challenge to be recognized. Explain the history of a kingdom. Lay out the battles of a war. Even tell the steps the gods made to create the universe. The challenge is open to many possibilities! There is only a word minimum of at least 25 words. No getting away with a simple introduction, have fun with it. For example, I have my own timeline to show that making such moves is entirely possible:

The Reward

You would not only get the satisfaction of creating something that expands your world, but what would a challenge be without a shiny new badge to go with it? Completing the challenge gets you the Timeline Writer's Badge.  

Conclusion

Timelines are a fun way to expand on your world in a neat and concise way. Instead of information being spread throughout multiple articles, details being lost in the clutter, timelines keep it all in one place. This challenge should help inspire you to expand on such material, while also benefiting your world. Have fun, and good luck!
