June-y Through Time Yeia Edition

First things first, I want to say a masive THANK YOU for this wonderful challenge you've created!. I love history as you do so timelines is always something that I like to do! and this is the perfect moment to revise the most detailed Timeline in Yeia to date, the History of the Seris people

New Dates

  • 3000 BP: The Davidovian peoples cross the Suris Strait: The branch of the Davidovian peoples commanded by Kuchi, the semi-mythical hero, crossed the strait due to the hostility of the native tribes of the Peninsula of Moria. This event marks the beginning of the history of the Seris people , the easternmost davidovian peoples, and the rise of one of the greatest civilizations of Yeia .
  • 352 BP: Birth of the Kadearu Clan: Prince Kade (352-287 BP)Emperor Saumo's youngest son founded this influential branch of the Imperial family This clan gave the Empire many influential bureaucrats and Namru warlords and is Yuya's family.
  • 11 AP: Annexation of the Southern Elven territories: Seris cultural and political influence in the Southern Elven territories had been visible since even before the rise of the Empire, and many elven communities had become dependant on imperial armies for their defence against the Dark Elves. So in 11 AP due to petitions from some Elven chieftains, the Seris Emperor decided to annex these territories and organize them into a new province. Thus the Seris incorporated a wealthy province, rich in natural resources but at the same time they had established a direct border with what they would become their mortal enemies to the south, the Kingdom of the Dark Elves.
  • 525 AP: First Battle of Eshanyama: When general Yüttak Ygasmaru rebelled against the imperial government, the Razen clan, a cadet branch of the Kadearu Clan, supported his rebellion. The main Kadearu family however remained pro-Sittakid despite Razen efforts to convince them to join the rebellion. Both branches of the clan faced each other at the First Battle of Eshanyama (525 AP) each one supporting their respective sides. It was said that the members of the clan refused to kill each other, just wounding and capturing their fellow relatives.
  • 529-531 AP: Seris-Valian War: A trade dispute evolved into a full scale war that ended with the young Valian Republic becoming a Seris vassal state, status that it would retain for 30 years.
  • 646 AP: Creation of the Elian league: An alliance of cities under nominal imperial sovereignty that, since it's foundation has played an important role in the late Yüttakid Dynasty. It's main goal is to defend themselves against attempts of conquest by regional Namru feudal lords.
  • 691- 695 AP: Seris participation in the War of the Great Call Answering the call from the Sun Elves, the Seris sent a force of nearly 10.000 men to help them defeat the Dark Elves. The Seris played an important role harassing dark elf supply lines with their fast Namru horse archers and also holding the left flank of the allied armies at the decisive battle of Alwalyz.
  • 700- 704 AP: Seris expedition to Southern Teria: Commanded by Paruz of Sakouramish, the Great Seris fleet embarked on a diplomatic mission to the realms of Teria to reinforce trade agreements and alliances and also as a geographical expedition to the westernmost (almost unknown to the Seris) regions of the western continent. The Great fleet visited Blati, the Kingdom of the Green Elves, the Elvish-Oronai Kingdoms and Wesdaland. Returning with a great knowledge about the peoples of the region, their costums and the trading opportunities found there.
  • 721 AP: Battle of Dahan: This battle garanteed the survival of the Protectorate of the East whose territory had been diminishing since the collapse of the Sittakid Dynasty at the hands of Lashel and the other surrounding nations. In this battle Ashi Arshakaru defeated a coalition of Menarites and Desert Folk

Revised dates

  • 251 BP: First Embassy of the Ikarian Empire: I think it's very unrealistic that Yeia's two great powers began diplomatic relations that late in time, considering they're just separated by the Suris Strait. So I decided to move the day back to the late 601 BP, a couple of decades after the birth of the Seris Empire.
