King Edward
John Edward Louis Ferdinand von Lexington was the King of America, having a brief reign that lasted shy of four years. The oldest son of Edward I and elder brother of Henry von Lexington, he served as Crown Prince from 1867 to 1889.
During his reign, Congress passed a law reclassifying the of Native tribes from independent nations to "domestic dependent nations". As such, he lost much of the power in overseeing Native relations, aside from that in Sequoyah, as the office of Chancellor Thomas F. Bayard worked to move the remaining tribes onto reservations. Many of these relocations were violent, including the Wounded Knee Massacre. Following the massacre, he blamed and condemned the Sioux Nation for the violence, but believed they could still be assimilated.
Edward died suddenly from pneumonia in 1893. Having no children, the throne passed to his younger brother, Henry.
