King Bee
For almost twenty years this tiny yellow man is as much a part of Rinesday celebrations in Stretto as the honey that comes on the wagons laden with wares every few months. Dozens of glowing golden yellow orbs of light swoop and flash in the air above the Gardeners' wagon as they reached the gates of the city.
This statuesque little pixie wears a tiny poncho made from a sturdy leaf with individual blades of grass woven into patterns and has several pockets stitched on the inside. His mostly nude form is the color of a pristine banana, intensely yellow with darker orange regions where humans would blush or redden. Standing roughly as tall as a fully grown apple, his only other clothing is a finely crafted utility belt made with incredible care by the Rinenian Gardeners he lives among.
Typical pixies are natural wanderers and the pixie now known as King Bee is no different. Shortly after the Green Abbey was constructed the pixie was discovered by the abbot himself while he was gorging himself on the honey and the occasional drone "for added crunch". The pixie had never seen humans before and became fascinated with their culture once he realized these larger folk wished him no harm. Feeling guilty for ignorantly decimating their early stock of honey he decided to linger around the abbey grounds until he felt he'd repaid his misdeeds.
It turns out, the Gardeners quite enjoyed having a literal spirit of nature helpfully at their disposal. Communication was limited for the first few years as King Bee learned how to make the sounds required to speak Cadence and even decades later his speech is speckled with natural sounds rather than words. For example he has trouble with a hard 'g' at the beginnings of words such as 'good' or 'gratitude' and omits the sound altogether, opting to rely on context to be understood.
King Bee already had a strong connection with all kinds of Apidae, but the recent development of Bleshbees has deeply affected him. His pixie heritage gave King Bee a supernatural connection to Elemental Air that most sprites don't have and himself was further drawn to bees of all kinds. He also has the ability to communicate with entire colonies of bees by giving off pheromones that interfere and override those of their queen.
