Bleshbees

These candy-colored bumblebees are a direct mutation of the common bumblebee and were created by a Rinenian Gardener living at the Green Abbey. Created through a chaotic combination of uncontrolled conditions and several volatile ingredients, these specific elements are known only to their creator, Bleshon. During a euphoric high that he claims was 'divine inspiration' the entire concept and method came to him from nowhere and he flatly believes that Rinen bestowed the inspiration upon him during his 'meditation' as a gift for serving the abbey and inhabiting their sacred tenants.

Once the colony was stable in a closed, semi-controlled environment, Bleshon approached several of his botanical colleagues to discuss useful applications of the new breed of bees he'd created. After he explained how they came to exist the small group discussed their options and shared some ideas about how to proceed. With some discussion they eventually all agreed that their first experiment should be to introduce these bees to an ordinary colony of honeybees.

For the group of observers involved, one of the most surprising things they discovered was that the Bleshbees had much longer limbs than their cousin bees. This naturally allows them to harvest pollen and nectar from flowering plants that ordinary bees cannot. The implications of this have not fully been explored but the thought that these pollinators may be able to help propagate rare or otherwise finnicky plant species is exciting to the Gardeners.
  Major Edits Ahead!
I am keeping some significant details vague for creative reasons - there are many more prompts coming and I'll likely be adding to or altering this article as I continue creating new articles for Summer Camp.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Appearing nearly identical to the common bumblebee, these mutated insects have noticeably longer forelimbs than their naturally born cousins and have colorful, round, bodies covered in soft hair (long branched setae) called 'pile', making them appear and feel fuzzy. These bees have pale, light-colored hair that follows the same patterned bands common among other bees. Most commonly they are a soft pink or pale rose color with variations spanning the spectrum of traditionally warm colors with females displaying more vibrant coloration than the typical male.
