Rinen

Deity of Vegetation & Wild Growth

The Dreaming Green, Natures' Patience, Augur of Ruins

SORRY FOR THE MESS!
Rinen is blindingly beautiful. Their appearance fluctuates and changes each time they appear, always matching the perceived standard of beauty to those around them - symbolizing how natural flora adapts to its surroundings while surviving and nourishing the environment around it.   They are also associated with plant-based sea life and their domains overlap with Jit when relating to plants that thrive in arctic and cold weather environments.   Their worshipers make many temples to honour them in forests and rural towns.
The UNKNOWN MYTH is the story of an unnamed being (most likely Rinen) teaching the ancient dryads and fey higher concepts such as logic and compassion. This fundamentally changed the course of fey history and was the birth of all sentient culture on the southern continent now referred to as Kriio. Until this point the fey had only ever lived season-to-season and it opened their minds to the wider world around them and their possible influence on it.
Before the Primis were gods and the people of Kaos had spread across its surface, the continents were flooded with life. Flora and fauna grew and roamed unchecked while beasts considered fantastical to modern folk swam, soared, and stalked with feral abandon. When Rinen awoke surrounded by lush vegetation and jungles they immediately connected to the intricate ecosystem on a spiritual level. Rinen, while still in the fugue state that all Primis are assumed to have experienced, was also overwhelmed by a mental connection to the living plants all around.   Alone for centuries, eventually they learned to exist in balance with the jungle and ventured on journeys that would lead them to encounter many of the other Primis that were scattered around the planet at the time. Over millennia the world changed and the Primis drew closer together with the rise of other sapient races. The fey developed centuries before any others with their strong ties to nature and the ecosystems they inhabit.

Personal history

Rinen is the sole survivor of the destruction that befell the Pillar of Transmutation and is believed to be the only being in existence that might know a deity perished that day. Although none of the primis claim to have any memories prior to the day they awoke inside their respective strongholds with their partners, Rinen in specific feels somehow responsible for the death and believes they had a connection to the deceased primis that has yet to be discovered.
Rinen also suspects that the other pairs of primis are also connected to each other in some way but feels like they can’t openly investigate without raising further suspicion, especially since they’re already the only primis without a ‘partner’. In truth, the other Speaking Gods don’t give much thought to these deeper mysteries, aside from Vusin and Zetna who are both adamant students and pathologically curious.
