It's crazy to think that Summer Camp is almost here again! Summer Camp 2025 marks my 6th WAnniversary and my 7th Summer Camp as part of this great community. Much like last year, real life has really slowed down my worldbuilding, but I'm excited for Summer Camp to get me motivated and writing again!

My Summer Camp pledge is to be part of Polina "Line" Arteev's club, the Dewy Diamonds, and have a chill Summer Camp while completing as many prompts as I can.
Theme Preparation
At this point, Summer Camp means going wide with the themes and squashing a stub or two along the way. This approach has been great the last couple of years, so there's no point in changing now. Isekai continues to grow, so squashing stubs is a never-ending chore.Nourishment
Nourishment is an interesting topic and one I'm rather excited about. Having grown up in a small town that thrived due to agriculture, this is a topic that is somewhat close to my heart and one that hasn't gotten enough love in Isekai. From farming to ranching, to canning and baking, all things food, trade, and craftsmanship abound in the world, and these topics need more time in the spotlight. For this theme, I think items and traditions will be big templates. Items can be used for foods, implements, and anything that aids the nourishing, but traditions explain the ways behind why people do what they do. Agriculture itself is a tradition practiced widely and differently all over the real world, so why would our fictional worlds be any different?Roots
With a world as old as Isekai, everything has deep roots. From different cultures to the people, to even the flora that covers most of the world, the histories and roots of these things run deep, intertwining them with each other and everything else in the world. I love the idea of this topic because it will allow me to delve into how things connect in the world and look at some of the more ancient histories that are often forgotten in favor of covering the events surrounding the Eldritch War. Honestly, I have no idea what templates may be used with this theme but I think that makes it all the more interesting because it means that there will be greater opportunity to dive into more and varied parts of the world. This might end up being one of my favorite themes.Metamorphosis
Metamorphosis is one of those themes that defines Isekai. From the creation of the different peoples and how they changed the world to the everlasting effects of the Eldritch War, the world at large is ever-changing. This is a concept that is constantly covered through the different articles so it will be fun to continue that theme. Because of how open the theme of metamorphosis is, I feel like any article type could fall under this theme. This would be a great place for cultures and histories that have changed over the years or even organizations that have helped shape the world into what we know it as today.Tomorrow
If I thought metamorphosis was a broad topic, tomorrow is still much bigger. With the history of Isekai stretching as long as it does, we spend so much time writing about the past and everything that has happened that we don't often look towards the future of the world. This will definitely be a change from most of the writing we do, and it's exciting. The templates used for this theme also seem pretty wide open. It will be interesting to see what prompts come up and how I can add them into the world while hopefully squashing more stubs. I would love to be able to write more militaries.

Side Quests
Honestly, this is something that will never be done. I was able to complete a handful of these in May during the May-Be Challenge 2025, but with as many articles as Isekai has, I may never catch up. World Homepage
The world homepage has been working well for us so far so the only thing really to do is double-check for typos and clean up little things. Throwback: First Worldbuilding
I've been worldbuilding for a long time, at least since high school. Looking back on how far I've come is something I do every so often as it makes me realize just how far I've come with writing in Isekai. Inspiration!
Playlists are ready, notes are compiled from museum trips, and I've had some time to look at some of the other amazing worldbuilders here! There are just far too many amazing worlds to name. Writing Space Desk is clean and ready, cups have been prepared, and snacks are close at hand!
