Lope
Herbivore
The Lope has scattered species on many different worlds. The term in this article is a blanket description for the genotype, and information here resembling what is true for all discovered Lope species.
The Lope is highly adaptable, originally the byproduct of a fusion between antelope, white tailed deer, and moose. The result is a strong, quickly reproducing, and fast herbivore that fills a vital spot on the food chain for many worlds. They were seeded in earnest across hundreds of worlds during the first wave of expansion, as Terran explorers sought to bring a robust type of easily replicating food with them.
As time has gone on, Lopes on different worlds have developed their own special adaptions for the particular climates they find themselves in.
They have all remained obligate herbivores.
