Aliah
An overgrown jungle world, containing a high level of humidity. This world is teeming with native life in the thick continents, and the oceans are commonly dominated by large, island sized patches of floating Sargasso.
Silvano and Valeria traveled to Aliah close to the end of Greenbriar's first year. They discovered the moon had been shattered by some unknown force, and a constant barrage of debris had been falling on the planet below.
After making contact with the native Jademane, a race of green skinned humanoids, Val and Sil were able to move the worst and most threatening of the asteroids out of the way through a massive effort of telekinesis.
The Jademane were gifted a communication device to communicate with Greenbriar, but have been largely silent since the last colonial visit.
In December 2666, a riot broke out at the main settlement on planet, driving non Jademane off the planet.
In November 2667, a two person expedition from the United Nations of Worlds was able to convince the Jademane to take another look at membership in the UNW. They are currently considering their options.
March 2668 saw Adept Ezra Collins investigated a strange psychic 'disconnection' occurring between the Jademane and their planet. It has become clear that the full "psionic death" of the planet will occur in conjunction with the Acastan one, and around the planet's heart, three pillars carved with the glyphs of the Acastan moons stand silent for now.
August 2668 saw the arrival of the Conjunction. A task force of Shaman Grupp, Venser Reach, Dr. Truffles of the Piggen, and Reza Collins of the UNW academy attempted to harness the power of the conjunction through an elaborate working built at the heart of the planet. They were unable to prevent Aliah from dying, but were able to re-direct the metaspace life force to Sumati 2, in the hopes that if Aliah could not be saved, perhaps the Zadak living on Sumati 2 could have an environment suited to them and another race could survive.
The Jademane are now trying to determine a way forward for their radically changed people and planet. Early 2669 saw them finally agree to leave, making their way to Sumati-2 to begin again.
Currently a small team of researchers and a small Psychic Academy site are the only things remaining on this gradually dying planet. Their current projections indicate at the current rate of life force and metaspace dissipation the complete death of the planet will occur sometime during January 2671. The Academy can't be entirely certain on the exact day within the month, but suspect it will be within the first half. The rotting trees and the bones of the ecosystem will remain, but nothing larger than microscopic scavengers to still be living on the planet by then. Their microbial lives will be measured in years, rather than decades.
In late 2670, shortly before the official biological death of the world a small exploration team led by the Jademane named Syringa explored the planet, and crossed through the metaspace rift located within the Academy outpost. An exerpt from their journal follows:
