Warren
Core World of the Procyon System
The ecumenopolis on Warren is one of the oldest and most populated settlements in The Procyon Sector—a dense urban hiveworld that serves as a critical economic and administrative node for the Hegemony. It is a city-world in the truest sense: sprawling arcologies, industrial towers, and layered megacities cover nearly every available kilometer of surface. What little nature remains has been pushed into vertical gardens, biodomes, and elite estates. The skies are choked with traffic, pollution, and surveillance drones. Life on Warren is fast, hierarchical, and surveilled.
As a core world, Warren was colonized early in the Hegemony’s expansion and remains a symbol of Hegemonic authority, culture, and bureaucracy. The planet is governed by House Malklaith, the Procyon Sector’s ruling house, which maintains rigid control over trade, defense, and civic infrastructure. The Noble Council, headquartered here, exerts significant influence across the sector.
Beneath the surface glamor, Warren seethes with unrest. Crime syndicates, black markets, and revolutionary cells operate in the underlevels and maintenance tunnels. The Hegemony maintains order through heavily militarized police forces, surveillance networks, and brutal enforcement arms like the 51st Legion and the Kalarin Paladins, but discontent festers in the cracks. It’s a world of both staggering wealth and grinding poverty, where deals are made in boardrooms and back alleys alike.
For scoundrels, Warren is a land of opportunity and danger: a place where you can fence a stolen prototype, disappear into a megaslum, or blackmail a noble—if you can survive the attention that follows.
