Spooktober 2025
This is my second year leaping into the Spooktober challenge, and once again I’m going to try and tie all the prompts together into one big, interconnected tale. Last year I led you on a wild escape through a haunted circus, where every choice could spell disaster or survival. This time, I’m doing it again, but with a brand new story.
Each prompt will open a path, each choice will twist the tale, and just like before… not everyone will make it to the end.
At first, I considered setting this adventure in Crux Umbra, which is already full of shadows, hauntings, and unsettling corners; practically spooky by default. But after chatting with friends in the Storyteller’s Circle, I decided to challenge myself a bit more and set the tale in Kena’an. A big thank you to Tynen The Mighty for the nudge!

The CSS of last year's articles is a complete mess as it was one of my first attempts to figure out how things work on that front. I really need to revisit them - and I will - but I think they are still readable enough :)The Watcher's Road
Spooktober in Kena'an
The villagers whisper of a path that does not appear on any map. It begins with a rusted Ring hanging from an old tree, and it ends… if it ends at all… in a place no mortal tongue dares name. This folktale has been told for generations, each time changing, each time darker. Some say it is only a story meant to frighten children. Others swear it is a trial and that those who walk the path are chosen… or lost forever.
You will walk this path yourself, making choices that lead you deeper into mystery, peril, and revelation. Some roads will end quickly. Others will twist and turn until you face the truth of the path.
Once you begin, there is no going back.
How to Play
- Make sure you begin your journey at the Ring article.
- At the end of each entry, you’ll be given a choice. Your choice determines which article you visit next.
- Some paths will end early. Others will reveal more of the truth.
