Doctor Faust Strangelove

Overview

Dr. Strangelove was a nuclear scientist who worked at a nuclear reactor on Earth until one day a strange event occurred and a portal opened in his office and swallowed him whole. Waking up on Idoria, he found himself surrounded by a world of whimsy, magic, and mystique. As he wandered, looking for a way home, he discovered how to create tools and gadgets with the assistance of magic and Idoria's strange materials. Eventually his gadgets surpass most of what he was accustomed to back on Earth and his fame & notoriety skyrocketed, earning him the title of "Tinkerer".

His primary weapon of choice was his signature hand-crafted grenades!

Companions

Doctor Faust Strangelove has made many companions and acquaintances throughout his time on Idoria; from celestial dragons to the Champion of Idor.

During the campaign "Into The Void", Faust made made friends with the Slit-Throats Daniel Frost & Eva, the Pit-Fighter Harry "The Lizard", the Champion of Korain Zia Gray, and the Slinger Amina.

During the episodic series "The Adventures of Rae'Nör", he was accompanied by the Slit-Throat Bry Gree, the Naturian Oakenson, the Arcanist Jerry, and the Champion of Idor Rae'Nör.

While he was stationed in his Spire of Heaven MKII, he kept Zia Gray and Drakolith imprisoned for their crimes against humanity. He was also rescued from a band of bandits by the Arcanists Yviira & Charmle, as well as the Pit-Fighter Isaac. Later he would enter into an agreement with Yviira to help her with alchemical processing if she helped him with some of his own projects.

A few years after he & Yviira entered into this agreement, a stranger by the name of "Ain" approached him looking for help with an aberrant issue. With Faust's help, Ain was able to recruit Yviira the Arcanist & the Champion of Idor Rae'Nör.

Dr. Faust Strangelove is also the one responsible for building The Spire of Heaven MK. II at the base of the Northern-Ascensian mountain range, just west of the road that leads towards The Kingdom of Ascensia's capital. There he resides along with the other surviving members of the party that ventured into The Void.

Due to being manipulated and misinformed, Dr Strangelove ended up creating a Dragon-killing cannon that was used to kill the Celestial Dragon Ankashtas.

Enemies

Throughout his many adventures, Faust has made a number of enemies; although most of them originate from his adventure in "Into The Void" where a corrupted Celestial Dragon by the name of Drakolith further corrupted his companion Zia Gray transforming her from a Champion of Korain to an Oath-Sworn that worshiped the corrupted dragon. This lead to many issues between the two party members that eventually lead to Faust imprisoning Zia in the dungeon of the Spire of Heaven MKII along with her idol, Drakolith.

Beyond these specific examples, Faust has made an infamous name for himself with his explosives; causing him to be attacked in almost all parts of The Kingdom of Ascensia. This infamy is what caused him to become wanted for a time and is why he fled to The Frosthead Kingdom where he then met up his party members in "The Adventures of Rae'Nör" episodic series.

Interests

Although he yearns for his old life, he has made plenty of connections here on Idoria and has gone on many adventures over the years; making his desires to go back weaker with time. Although the desire to return to his old life dwindles with time, he still strives to find a way back with every adventure he goes on.

In his downtime, Faust focuses on bringing as much of the technology he's used to to the world of Idoria through local materials, crafting techniques, and the omnipresent essence of magic.

Faust loves explosions almost as much as he loves figuring out solutions for dangerous situations that result in a great payoff.
