Rae'Nör

Overview

Born in Creya in The Frosthead Kingdom and given to the Temple of Idor when her now-widowed vagrant-father couldn't take care of her, Rae’Nör was discriminated against for being an Airenian as well as fulfilling the prophecy of who the next Champion would be. Some thought it was heresy for an Airenian to be a Champion due to the race's false-history of corrupting humanity; but others figured that if the Ritual of Champions deemed her to be the next Champion then it had to be the will of Idor, himself.

With her title of Champion, Rae’Nör is currently heading south towards The Kingdom of Ascensia to seek refuge during the brutal winter that permeates all of The Frosthead Kingdom. As she journeys, she unknowingly fulfills her duty as Champion to rid the world of the forces of The Fallen Ones, the most common of which are Nulls, the Undead, and Demons.

Companions

Accompanying her in her journey are an unlikely group of adventurers: Doctor Faust Strangelove, Jerry, Oakenson, and Bry Gree.

Somehow, despite the company, she feels like she's the only one with any semblance of sanity or morality. Despite those feelings, she's grown fond of the group; though she feels Bry's flirting to be a bit much at times.

Interests

Despite being a Champion, Rae’Nör has always loved Performers and their acts. She dreams of the day that she can retire her flail and shield in favour of the stage. Although she loves the arts, she can't help but feel that there are people who perform for money, glory, and fame rather than for the art itself; she doesn't dislike those who love the arts while also making a living off of it, but she loathes those who disgrace the arts by purely seeking the fame.

Being raised in a Temple her whole life has caused her to live quite the sheltered life, as such she's reveled in the joys and wonders of the world outside of those cold walls. Singing, writing, plays, nature, local foods, the various skills & talents of those around her, and the freshness that battle brings compared to her nonlethal training.
