Figure
The Figure, formerly Francis Émile Lapointe, is the current warden of The Library, and one of many entities found in the Hotel.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Slow, but incredibly strong. It is entirely blind, therefore making use of sound and touch to get around. Figure is a reborn entity.
Francis was born with retinitis pigmentosa, which caused him to be mostly blind by his 30s.
Body Features
The Figure is a bipedal humanoid entity, though that's where its similarities with any human end. Aside from its abnormal height, it has several more joints in its arms and legs than a human, and an external ribcage. It also possesses a prehensile tail, similar to that of a large reptile, which is occasionally used to grab prey. The Figure has multiple scars all across its body, likely obtained from many fights.
Facial Features
The Figure lacks any facial features except for a large, circular mouth, not unlike a lamprey eel, filled with sharp teeth.
Special abilities
Due to its lack of sight, Figure makes use of echolocation. Though lacking in sight, it has a passable mental map of the Library.

As a way of adjusting to the gradual loss of his sight, Francis learned how to read braille. As Figure, he retains this skill, although poorly, due to not being able to read anything for several years.
