SE05 : EP31 - Siege of Tivs

Tentions run high as preparations beign made at both The Guildhall and Meridian's Gate . Makeshift hospitals flanked by army staging areas. Various goodbyes are happening all around with tear filled pairings. The trust in the City's ability to succeed is marred by the doubts of everyone making it home.   The time arrives and the tension unravels as Meridians hit and rescue team go through, as the rest of the city's forces wait to pour through.   As they arrive to Symic hybrids walk a patrol that take notice of puking from the transported parties arrive through the portal/ As they check things out the combined forces the two teams dispatch them without any effort. BOOM! A smokey column rises into the sky above the tree line. The battle at the Iris portal begins. The teams split up and rush to their objectives.   Daphix leads the hti team of Orwyn Ilvarien, Allory Miralen, Rosella Miralen, Mistwine, and Aoh-Gynn. The air is chocked with wind swept smoke as they approach the city. Moving around to the rear to hopefully repel in. Over the rim fires are set by the enemies causing the surviving citizenry to flee.   The party descends and finds themselves face to face with a symic captain. Before they respond the enemy is dispatched by Liam the Tivs represented. They are given access to a cellar that leads in the palace.   Meanwhile Ryder is in charge of the rescue effort leading Merit, Warren Torrance, Kellasin Leafstrider,  Yith’Airézen’Eñahkais Æn’Pailynnoire'Horizon, Wytchem Neibolt, and Kayla Holt. They see the long fields of yams stretching out beyond the thinning forests. They use the curves of the hills and smoke in the air to move stealthily across the landscape. The symic band about literally salting the earth added by unwilling farmers strapped to odd constructs. The team splits off to take out each of these enemies all at the same time.    They simultaneously attack, and while not unsuccessful only one falls on the intial blows. Warren manages to slay his quarry a moment later. The one Enakais and Merrit approached runs over the civilian causing them to jerk and the construct explodes killing both of them. A rumble roars through the ground as try to release the remaining civilains. Then a ground bursts and a zaratan emerges with a roar.
