Padapali
Padapali is the great dormant volcano at the South-center of Motosui, venerated in traditional selkie religion as the home of the Goddess Padimak.
Padapali is traditionally a place of pilgrimmage, hermitage, and meditation used in some of the oldest ceremonies recorded in selkie history. Before The Chimera blessed Mohomwa Cove, this was the single most sacred place in the Khilaian isles. While the island of Okailu is now considered the more sacred place, Padapali remains a central point of training, administration, and ritual among the Hanahai sacred bureaucrats. The mountain is enchanted in its way, as this is where ancient Ghosts roam freely. Given the mystery and foreboding built up around Padapali, Gluttonmaws spawn here occasionally as well.
Old myths say that Padapali was the first land ever made, when the Goddess Padimak raised soil from the water.
