Athens

Athens is a great city-state of technology and magic. Here people of all races seek to understand the mysteries of the world by any means. It is a lively society that is based on equality. It respects intellect above all else, believing that the mind is the key to understanding someone, and the world itself.

Demographics

Humans are the most common race in Athens. Like most places in the world, Half-Orcs and Drow are looked down upon, but they're still given opportunities to prove their worth.

Government

Athens is run by a triumverate voted upon by citizens of Athens every ten years.   The Triumverate is separated into three parts, The Owl, The Crow, and The Falcon

Defences

Athens has low walls, but it is built up a hill. Any ground attack would be an uphill battle. In addition the Athenian military is equipped with the devastating thunder cannons.

Industry & Trade

The College of Magic, The Rookerie, and The Retreat. In addition, Athens boasts high volumes of trade through it's shipyard. The docks of Athens have goods of nearly every kind.

Infrastructure

The Parthenon, the temple of Zeus, temple of Vulcan, the shipyards. There are grand courtyards and gardens hugged closely by bustling bazaars. In addition, Athens has built vast networks of aqueducts to supply it's citizens with clean water in homes and public places.

Architecture

Athens is composed of large marble buildings. Smaller residential structures are composed of wood and brick limestone.

Geography

Athens is built on a hill by the sea. The terrain is not very conducive for farming. Any farming that is done uses terraces.
