Elven Kingdom

The Elven Kingdom is a xenophobic isolationist monarchy in central and northen Iyass. The nation is infamous for it's strict apartheid system that targets non elven races, as well as it's deep seeded cultural tradition of chattel slavery.   The Elven Kingdom vehemently resists industrialization, and is heavily agrarian and rural society with the exeption of the cities of Kalu and Entheas.

Structure

The Elven Kingdom is a true monarcy, led by a King and Queen who have joint power and hold the throne for life. Their children will take the throne upon the death of either the King or Queen.

Culture

The culture of the Elven Kingdom puts a heavy emphasis on the ideals of remaining close to nature, upholding ancient traditions, and embodying elven supremecy as best as possible.   The institution of slavery is a cultural staple. Those in the middle class or landowners are encouraged to purchase and own slaves to maximize productivity. Although any race besides elves can be bought and sold as slaves, Humans are the most popular due to their versitility and the prevailing idea that humans are good for nothing but labor.   Non elven races are heavily discriminated against in the Kingdom. According to royal decreee, non elves are inferior beings and should be treated no diffrent from animals. In particular, humans and dwarves are freaks of nature and be either eradicated or "put in their place", I.E, enslaved.

History

The Elven Kingdom is one of the oldest nations on Ghala. Close to 30,000 years ago it dominated much of Iyass.   The Elven Kingdom spearheaded the war against humanity several thousand years ago. Because of their efforts, humanity has little to no presence on Iyass aside from the Republican army stationed in Whitesburg to fight the Draconic Imperium.   The Elven Kingdom has played a pivotal role in 3 of the 4 Draconic Crusades, having stood firm against the Imperial army when other nations fell around them.   During the First Crusade, a large segment of the Kingdom's societal elites fled the continent to settle on Getrea, far away from the death and destruction that the Crusade had brought to the land.   When the Dominion made contact with the Kingdom of old, the Crown was elated that the refugees from years before had not only survived, but were thriving and being a shining beacon of elven supremacy. Though they were concerned at the fact humanity had regained independence.

Demography and Population

The Elven Kingdom has a population of 20 million, with 85% being elves and the rest being a mix of other races used as slave labor.

Strong allies

The Kingdom viewed the Dominion with a great deal of respect. Those ruling the dominion were, in the Kingdom's eyes, securing the future of the elven race on the other side of the world.   The Dominion viewed the Kingdom with an almost religious reverence.   Together, they believed they would prove to the world the inherent superiority of the elven race.

Hostile

The Elven Kingdom views Esora as a nation with misplaced dedication to false gods and a rotten society due to their democratic institutions.   Esora views the Elven Kingdom as a dying relic that needs to let go of tradition and embrace modernity.

Unfreindly

The Elven Kingdom views the Union with a level of disgust. They see the Union's fascist government as efficent, but crude and overbearing. And they consider the Vulpis majority as little more than animals.   The Vulpis Union views the Kingdom as an irrelevent, dying relic of a bygone era. The Union sees Elven territory as a potential future conquest to take for themselves once the Imperium is dealt with.

Unfreindly

The Elven Kingdom views the Hedgemony as a rotten institution that wastes land and rescources that rightfully belong to the elven people. The elves who live in Hedgemony territory have abandoned their racial herritage and are worthy of nothing but contempt.   The Tiefling Hedgemony views the Kingdom as a nuisence that they can't get rid of because it would effect their bottom line too much.

Hostile

The Elven Kingdom views the Republic Of Adreal as a nation of degeneracy and filth. The Republic's democratic nature, heavy industrialization, mixed race demographics, and human dominated leadership is incogitable and disgusting.   To the Republic the Elven Kingdom represents a clear and present threat to global security. Were it not for current circumstances, the Republic would consider a military solution to deal with the threat the Elven Kingdom poses.   As it stands, both nations are just one diplomatic incident away from total war.
