Kronhaus
The Kronhaus is the central governing body of the Republic of Gattland, a council composed of Seats representing each Stolm. Each Stolm has one Seat, except for Gatt and Sernovia, which have three.
In name, it embodies the republic’s ideals of shared governance, lawful debate, and collective authority. In practice, it is a fractured institution, burdened by procedure, factionalism, and competing regional interests.
The Confluence of the Seated Stolm is the official name of the governing body, but most call it the Seated or the Kronhaus.
The Kronhaus has no singular executive power. It governs through votes, decrees, and obstruction, relying on consensus that is increasingly difficult to achieve. While public sessions are long and ceremonial, real influence is often exerted elsewhere through private agreements, economic pressure, and strategic absence.
