Lord Fredrico Fluxpora V

House Fluxpora has a prolonged history in magic which in turn had a profound impact upon Fredricos upbringing. Visions of grandeur and unmatched magical feats were fostered by Fredrico’s father (Alista Fluxpora) from a young age granting Fredrico an ambition to be the greatest mage in Gafarr. His first signs of raw magical potential was first demonstrated when he was just 3 years old whilst he was playing along the banks of the Norparr river with his lifelong friend Lord Martim Vellar; he was found sitting in the middle of the river playing with his wooden toy as all the surrounding water had been magically altered into a column allowing Fredrico to sit on the river bed. Alista was not surprised his child possessed magical powers but he did not expect to see them develop at such a young age, therefore Fredrico would be subject to extensive training and practice throughout his youth.   By 18 Fredrico was a force to be reckoned with, his magical power exceeded many of the most experienced mages in the realm and he could even rival his fathers own power. However, this impressive magical power came at a personal cost; Fredrico lacks social skills as he spent most of his time isolated, his only true friend is Martim Vellar. This has meant that Fredrico’s diplomatic skill is limited and is reliant upon Fredrico’s personal strength rather than diplomatic aptitude.   At the age of 19 Fredrico would join his friend Martim alongside 3 other companions in the quest for Sigvalds Bane, throughout this quest Fredrico would play a pivotal role as his magical abilities would save Martim and Orion Goldenleaf from certain death. Following this impressive feat Fredicrico would part ways with Martim and pursue magical knowledge; his feat in acquiring Sigvalds bane granted him membership of the renowned Golden Order and he would begin studying under the tutelage of the great dwarven wizard Hagar Fundin who was one of the orders masters. Throughout Fredricos 20/30s he would study magic across the continent including at the Tinvenian School of Magic, by age 38 his power and might was known across the land and he would be granted the rank master of the order. Following his ascension to masterhood (at a relatively young age) he would return to Fluxpora and construct the iconic tower where he would create his school and teach his students the art of magic. Furthermore, he would expand Fluxpora’s library using his status within the Golden Order to acquire notable magical books and artefacts. In 194 AG Fredicrico’s father Alista would die at the age of 79 leading Fredrico to become lord of the town at age 36.   Three years before becoming Lord of the town (when Fredrico returned to Fluxpora after his studies) he would settle down with his now wife Lisa Fluxpora, together they would have a son named Felix who is now 18, since then they have had 2 daughters named Anna and Maria aged 12 and 10. Together the family now lives in the Tower of Fluxpora.

Lordship

Through the early period of Fredrico’s lordship (194-203) he would be subservient to Tiago II "Aravil o Ja Miran" of Aldarr acknowledging that Fluxpora could not stand against the might of Aldarr. Fredrico would serve on Tiago II council between 197-203 AG and it was through this he began to develop a friendship with King Max De Julio IV of Lesaboca; following Tiago’s death in 203 Max, Fredrico and Martim would meet after the funeral and plans to reunite the League of Free Cities was drawn up. Unfortunately for them the plans would not bear fruit as in 205 AG King Max was deposed by the nobles and Queen Belesa. This has led to an uncomfortable situation for both Martim and Fredrico who desire to see the league reunite but are hesitant to work with Queen Belesa.   The primary focus of Fredrico now is alleviating the economic situation of Fluxpora which has entered a recession in recent years. However, due to Fluxpora’s limited natural resources this has proved to be challenging for Fredrico and his administration. He finds himself facing the prospect that he may be forced to work with Queen Belesa 'the Beautiful' De Julio of Lesaboca and her allies in Paloampo in order to restore Fluxpora’s economy through trade.

Personality

Fredrico is a calm and collected man who does not jump to conclusions or spring into action until the time is right. He believes that those who possess power (much like himself) should use it to protect those who can not protect themselves rather than use it to force people to serve. He realises that through the protection of others he will in turn become respected and acknowledged as a leader. Fredrico is slow to anger… however should he be made angry the person on the receiving end is unlikely to come out better. Due to isolation within his childhood his diplomatic ability is limited whilst he sometimes finds it challenging to socialise on a casual level.
