Worden Homestead
The Worden homestead is a small clearing of land that once belonged to an insular community of sorcerers and outcasts. Located on rising of cliff with a wall of forest behind them the area was strategically chosen for its seclusion and defensibility. The area had several creeks nearby and enough older trees to be cut down and used for building resources. The homestead was the most south-eastern settlement before it's destruction at the hands of the Brotherhood of Tarn
The settlement was established ten years ago through the efforts of Thoma Worden and Florian Sandstrop. The two boys having recently fled The Keep and with nowhere to go became to drift from town to town picking up odd jobs, in time as the two were wed they wanted a more permanent place to build a life together. They happened upon the clearing and though it secluded enough to be safe. They would go would go into the nearest town of Wintrow to trade their services with the townsfolk, with Florian repairing furniture and selling small wooden trinkets and Wylde performing under the table magic services, like casting spells and carving Rune he also made medicinal tinctures infused with magic. From this they would gain the resources to build the settlement but with that they also gained a reputation along with the rapport they gained from various connections. They found that people who had issues emmeshing in society soon came to them looking to build and form a community. The two would attract budding sorcerers and those wanted by the brotherhood they formed a community and for the first time Thoma was around other magic-users and could freely develop his practice and research magic.
The peace would not last forever and the Brotherhood of Tarn would discover their location along with evidence of magic. Squadrons of paladins descended in the early morning in the Siege on the Wordon Homestead which would see Thoma as the sole survivor.
