Luna Minor

After the Genesis colony mission was launched and communication established with the Boreal System, those left in Solar needed something new to strive towards a new goal. Colony's on Mars were already established, and mining stations in orbit around satellites in the system were becoming more common place, but no one had yet built a space station city. And so that was decided as the next step for the UESA. The city would be called Luna Minor, after Earths natural moon, and whilst the new city was never intended to be the size of the Moon, it would be visable from the Earths surface, so a name linked to the Moon was chosen.   Utlising the technology developed from the Entity that created the first colony ship, the idea was simple, essentially a colony ship, but in orbit, with no propolsion needed. Officially put into construction New Years Day 2149, the city would become inhabbitable and the first people moving in October 15th 2152. Construction would continue and the city expanded, coming to its full size at the end of the decade in 2160. The first people moving in were UESA staff and families, then a few wealthy elites and 1%, before more afforable houses and needed jobs became avalible to make it worth people moving in.    Now the city opperates as an independant nation from any nation on Earth or the colonies out on other planets, and is extra terrestials first stop when travelling to Solar from Boreal.

The Cosmos Sea

  Instead of having a traditional port looking out to the ocean, Lunar Minor instead has a large port that brings ships through airlocks built into the side of the city. The walls around the dock are constructed from a carbon nano fibered quartz, allowing the ships to see inside, and those inside to see out. Hence the name of the port being the Cosmos Sea, because its one of the few locations where people can get a wide, open and generally uninterupted view of the wide universe beyond the stars.  

Uchū no Niwa

  Meaning Garden of the Universe, the garden was created by some of the Japanese scienists working for the UESA to be a place for quite reflection and a way to still feel tethered and connected to the Earth below. Over time the garden grew in size, now sitting as a large park and area of nature inside the very metal and scientific area of the central city, being the first area built, and being built for purpose rather than aesthetics, the Garden serves as an area of quite and calm, whilst also being an Oxygen farm.
