The Gladerunners
A branch of the Ilfrindori Royal Forces, the Gladerunners are a military branch responsible for scouting, patrolling, and intelligence gathering within and around Ilfrindor. Sometimes, this also includes dirty work for the Crown-- espionage, sabotage, and assassination. They work in tandem with the secretive Royal Order of the Knights of the Unbroken Song, the spies who specialize in the arcane, when needed.
Although technically part of the military command structure of the Akh'Velahr, the non-magical armies of Ilfrindor, the First Royal Scouting Company has long had a special directive: to patrol the borders of the kingdom, from mountain through vale, to sea. Each member of the company reports directly to Star-Champion Ul’damriel, Marshall of the Bow, as part of the Keepers of the Bow division.

Structure
The Gladerunners tend to work alone, or sometimes pairing magic-users and non-magical skill experts together in small teams of 2-3. Rarely do they ever gather in force. They report to a central command outpost, currently a hidden glade beneath Caleska itself. The Marshall has several officers reporting to her, and no one other than her knows exactly how many members the Company even has.
Culture
The type of person who joins the Gladerunners is usually an indepenent, stoic sort with a strong sense of duty... at least, in the public eye. In reality, their operatives vary in temperament and behavior as widely as there are cultures and types of people beyond the borders of Ilfrindor that need an eye kept on them. The independent streak part tends to be true, though.
