Summer Camp 2025, Prompt 38: A vehicle hailed as the transport of tomorrow

The Morwalder 93/96 series of steam locomotive were passenger train locomotives with a 4-6-2 wheel arrangement. They are built by Waldenheim Locomotive Works in the Duchy of Morwald in the Kingdom of Adraus, and have been in production since 1893 PI, although the design was given an upgrade with improved brakes and newly implemented shock absorption systems in 1896 PI. Morwalders operate on standard gauge railways in most areas of Adraus, with additional lines leading into parts of the Lorausii Confederation, the Empire of Serenaux, the Grand Duchy of Litzen, and the Principality of Draylas.   The Morwalder has a coupled wheel diameter of about 73-1/2 inches, which allows it to be deployed in both the hills of northeastern Adraus and on the flatter Adrausii Plains.   Morwalders, specifically the 1896 "Series B", are hailed as the "locomotives to end all locomotives" in modern Adraus, as they are some of the first to incorporate the recently-invention shock absorption technologies, making the ride much more comfortable for passengers and limiting the amount of "bounce" the train undergoes.   Morwalders were built specifically with speed and human comfort in mind, so they are largely incapable of hauling and bearing heavy, freight loads. They are, however, currently the fastest train in operation in all of Azora, with a top permitted speed of 75 miles per hour.   A total of 91 Morwalders are in service throughout Azora to this day, with 82 of them being owned by Adrausii companies, and the other 9 (all Series A) being bought by Draylas in 1895. Most Morwalders pull 4 to 5 carriages that carry between 40 and 50 people a piece, for a total of 160 to 250 passengers per train at full capacity.
