Fort Bulfaust, also known as Fort Pactmaker or Fort Hellstock, is a large, secluded fort turned military academy where the Adrausii Pactmakers train to serve in the Royal Adrausii Army. Located in eastern Adraus, in the early foothills of the Sereskalen Mountains, the fort is built on the highest point in its area — a fifteen-hundred-foot cliff known as Bulfaust Hill. The train station supplying the Fort is located at the bottom of the slope opposite the cliff face, and the trek from the fort to the station can take upwards of an hour by foot due to the rough terrain.
The military academy of Fort Bulfaust is divided into two parts: one trains the 3rd Army of the Sereskalens C Company, nicknamed the "Soren's Saints", after its commanding officer Lieutenant Colonel Kasse Soren; the other trains the 3rd Army of the Sereskalens D Company, nicknamed the "Kupper's Hellions", after its own commanding officer Lieutenant Colonel Oskar Kupper.

Fort Hellstock
Fort Bulfaust earned the title of "Fort Hellstock" from the concept of a "Hellion", or an evil being. The Pactmakers who have studied at Fort Bulfaust are known to be notorious troublemakers with a near-perfect success rate. They are known to be the ones who get things done, although one will need half a gallon of whiskey to get them to stop playing with fire to do the job. A common legend is that the soldiers of Fort Bulfaust have "no fear and guts enough for all of us".Hazing Ritual
Fort Bulfaust has a brutal hazing ritual for its new recruits: make it to the fort from the bottom of the cliff face by taking the narrow switchbacks running along the entirety of the cliff... while carrying their luggage and being assaulted by pebbles thrown by their new higher-ups. This hazing is no-holds-barred, and the recruits are permitted and even encouraged to defend themselves, though they are not told as much. The only limit is try not to kill your comrades, though accidents — primarily in the form of falling off the cliffs — have happened.
